Electronic Stability Program (ESP)^[1]
The available ESP in the Caliber is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering manoeuvres. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or understeer, and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

Anti-lock Braking
Caliber's four-wheel anti-lock brake system (ABS) with brake assist helps prevent wheel lockup for shorter stopping distances and improved control under extreme conditions.
